From the very beginning of Best, we’ve wanted to do things properly. That means
respecting the planet, the people in it and you. That means doing our Best to do things the right way, whenever and wherever we can - even when it's difficult.
Our manufacturing partner is a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, which means they are committed to doing better for the environment and their workers. They are REACH compliant (the EU’s guidelines on safe production and use of chemical substances) and they ensure safe practices when using chemicals for both workers and the environment. They’re committed to sustainable manufacturing practices, employee wellbeing and of course, world class craftsmanship. And yes, they even meditate every day during lunch hour.
All of our jewellery is made with
100% recycled sterling silver. No more unsustainable mining practices, just beautiful, guilt-free sterling silver that’s better for the environment and better for all of us who live on this planet. That’s a win-win situation right there.
So what does this all mean? It means whenever you put on a piece of Best jewellery, you can know for sure that everyone involved in making it was treated fairly and with respect - from the working environment through to the labour practices. And that your choices aren’t directly contributing to the unnecessary extraction of raw materials from the earth.

Best Foot Forward
As part of our responsibility to uplift and empower our community, we have partnered with Move for Two, a Gugulethu-based NPO, to give children the gift of dance.
A portion of our profits go towards Move for Two Back a Dancer program which helps provide 100 children in Gugulethu township with life skills and dance classes. Together, we’re giving children the skills and confidence they need to move beyond barriers and achieve their Best.
